Animal Rescuer philosophy
By Anonymous, Submitted by Lora Pechy

Our job is to assist animals great big and small, wild or domesticated that need a helping hand.

We take in helpless, unwanted, homeless creatures without selection

We have bought dog/cat/bird food etc. with our last dime

We have patted/scratched a mangy head with a bare hand

We have hugged someone vicious and afraid

We have fallen in love a thousand times

We have Animal Friends and friends who have animal friends who understand, respect and set example for the rules of responsible care...........spay, neuter, etc.

We notice those lost at the roadside and we take action

We will hand raise a field mouse and make friends with a vulture

We know of no creature unworthy of our time

Some may think we are master of the animals

But the animals have mastered themselves

Something people still haven't learned

War and Abuse make us hurt for the world

But a rescue that makes the news gives us hope for mankind

We are a quiet but determined army

And we are making a difference every day

There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan nothing more rewarding than saving a life

No higher recognition than watching them thrive

There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play who only days ago, was too weak to eat

By the love of those who we been privileged to rescue

we have been rescued

We know what true unconditional love really is for we have seen it shining in the eyes of so many grateful for so little

We are the Animal Rescuer

Our work is never done

Our home is never quiet

Our wallet is always empty

But Our hearts are always full
